Curriculum
A new South Australian Curriculum for public education is being developed for South Australian public schools across reception to year 10. The SA Curriculum for public Education has been adapted from the Australian Curriculum. The new South Australian Curriculum framework outlines the essential knowledge, capabilities and dispositions in each learning area, retaining the Australian Curriculum content descriptions and showing how these contribute to the learning of higher-level concepts. The new South Australian Curriculum for public education will have a flexible implementation over a 3-year period with full adoption from 2027.
We use the curriculum to:
- plan and design student learning
- monitor and assess student progress
- report student progress to parents
- support student wellbeing.
